Open Mic Night is designed to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for both performers and listeners. The pub provides a generous backline, allowing performers to bring a minimum amount of personal gear. Musicians need to bring only their instruments; drummers need only their sticks. Rock Harbor handles everything else, providing a guitar amplifier, a bass amplifier, a full drum kit, three microphones, and a PA system.
Local musicians are scheduled for 20-minute sets. This set length allows enough time for each musician to perform several songs, while also allowing a number of musicians to have the opportunity to perform. The number of performers allows for a variety of musical styles to entertain audience members and musicians alike.
Wednesday is not the only night for live music at Rock Harbor. The pub books bands to entertain its crowd throughout the week, as well as at special events such as the annual anniversary party and the North Atlantic Blues Festival Club Crawl. Rock Harbor loves supporting local artists. A local music scene can only be strong with local support, and Rock Harbor is happy to do its part.
Craft beer, tasty pub food, and great live entertainment make Rock Harbor a worthy destination for music lovers near Rockland, Maine.
If you are a local musician and wish to play at Rock Harbor, please contact Jeff King via email, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Musicians may also leave their names and contact information with the bar staff at the pub.
